Description
Cable Concrete is an erosion control system which effectivly blends with the environment.
Problem: Stabilize a badly eroded bend on an urban stream subject to wild flow fluctuations and flooding while maintaining the natural beauty of the area.
Solution: Cable Concrete 70
Performance: Installed 11/96. Cable Concrete has prevented further erosion and revegetated well. As the vegetation grows, sediment is deposited behind it, burying the Cable Concrete. Within 3 growing seasons, the Cable Concrete has totally disappeared, unlike rip rap.
