Arch Bridge - Precast - 36' Span - Slid under Existing CMP to give Structure a New 100 of Life......


Project: D26091 Rt. 104, 25'-0" Span X 10'-0" Rise PreCast Arch
Location: Rt. 104 Jeddo, NY

Manufacturer: Kistner Concrete Products Inc.- Lockport, NY Plant
Product Description: New Life For Exiting 100+ Year Bridge. 10 Precast Arch Sections & Two(2) Facia Sections.
Installation: 10/6/2009 @10:00am-5:45pm First section was lifted, Rolled and slid into place on HDPE Plastic strips thru existing arch to inlet end of Bridge. The process was repeated 9 more times. Two Precast Facias were then pic and rolled into position, then secured by two rows of 1" diameter SS threaded Rods. The Bridge was then pump grouted thru grout ports supplied in new arch sections to structurally support the failing CMP.
Highlights: 1 day installation of structure- 12 pieces.

High Quality Product- 6000 PSI air entrained concrete.
Sustainability- the bridge now has another 100 years plus life.
NO interruption or detour of traffic on heavily used truck route
